At The Memory Source, we believe your memories are sacred. Our business model is based on your $149 platform fee, not the sale of your data. This policy outlines our commitment to your privacy and the dignity of the legacies you create.

You Own Your Memories
Full control and export rights. You can request access, deletion, or export of your data at any time.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: We collect your name, email address, and billing information (processed securely via Stripe) to manage your subscription.
Memory Content: We host the photos, names, descriptions, and years you upload to your custom timeline.
Technical Data: We collect basic logs (IP address, browser type) to ensure site security and functionality, but we do not use this for behavioral advertising.
2. How We Use Your Data
To Provide the Service: We use your data to generate your custom timeline, host your dedicated URL, and provide the slideshow feature.
No Advertisements: We have a strict "No-Ads" policy. We do not sell your personal information or memory content to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
Communication: We use your email for essential service updates, such as your annual maintenance fee reminders.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We only share data with essential infrastructure partners required to keep your site live:
- Stripe: For secure payment processing.
- Supabase/Vercel: For database hosting and custom domain management.
We do not share your private memories with social media platforms unless you explicitly use a sharing feature (disabled in Sanctuary Mode).
4. Your Rights (California Privacy Rights - CCPA)
As a California-based LLC, we grant you the following rights:
- The Right to Know: You can request a report of what data we have stored.
- The Right to Delete: You can request the permanent deletion of your timeline and all associated memories.
- The Right to Opt-Out: Because we do not sell your data, there is no "sale" to opt out of, but you may control your site's visibility via your Dashboard.
5. Data Retention
We retain your memories as long as your account is active. If a maintenance fee is not paid, we may move your site to a "Read-Only" state to preserve the legacy, but we will never delete content without prior notification and an opportunity for you to export your data.
